Transfer 9 Week 2 – Charizards and How long is a chinese name?

Its been such a wild week. Everything has turned 180 degrees. It’s really cold in Barrie and its -6 today and snowing. Barrie is also smack in the middle of the snow belt so snow just gets dumped here. Apparently its still “autumn” even though the ground is white and the leaves are gone, so i’m not really sure what’s going to happen when winter rolls around. it is indeed “Barrie cold”
I attended my first Missionary Leadership council last week! They are going to bring Facebook into the mission where we can use our facebook accounts. Not exactly sure the date but it will be soon! I will keep you updated.
We went to visit Sudesh yesterday and he was telling us of an asian joke “How long is a chinese name?” (Hao Long) hahaha it was pretty funny. He had a difficult time deciding which job offer he was going to pick
We shared with him a verse in Doctrine and Covenants 9 which read

“but, behold, I say unto you, that you must study it out in your mind; then you must ask me if it be right, and if it is right I will cause that your bosom shall burn within you; therefore, you shall feel that it is right”
He really liked it! In gratitude, he gave us a bottle of his homemade hot sauce which included scotch bonnets and chilli padi. My missionary companion liberally spread it all over his food and he couldnt speak for a while and his head was ringing all day. hahaha.
Lesson learnt for the week: Dont bite more than you can chew. haha literally, sometimes.

Have a great week!
